Looking out my bus window

Back in the Philippines, I only learned about the State of Kuwait through the Internet, books, and other reading materials. A few years back when I first set my foot in this oil-rich nation deep with tradition and culture, as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), I unknowingly became part of its expatriate community.

Kuwait has become a very modern country with all the amenities that come with wealth. It is famous for its highest-level shopping malls and different brands of expensive vehicles taken on the road. Still, many of its foreign communities ride taxis and buses to get from one point to another.

Sad to say, Kuwait has one of the highest mortality rates in the world due to vehicular accidents so it is safer to ride a taxi or bus than rent a vehicle and drive it yourself.

During this month of love, I travel to a destination carefree and just enjoy the sights as I look out the bus window and think of happy thoughts of home and this country, I now call my second home.
