Disrupted Peace

No country is perfect I believe but I consider Kuwait my second home.
No country is perfect I believe but I consider Kuwait my second home.

It’s the first time in years of my stay here in Kuwait that I felt alarmed because of Friday prayers‘ suicide bombing at the mosque. How unfortunate to realize the truth – in a house of prayer, a place that silence means reverence, someone intended to shake the foundation of faith.

Although my life as one of the thousands of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in this coastal, desert state is not all pink laces and frills, I am still grateful to Kuwait and most especially to its citizens who welcome expats like myself and many more.

I was expecting this Holy Month of Ramadan to be a season for tranquility in all aspects of life, in all the hearts and minds of people regardless of religion. I do not panic and I keep an alert mind. I am just a simple OFW blogger who finds my experiences here in Kuwait as valuable lessons in life.
