In the raging battle against COVID-19, Cosmotech Philippines in cooperation with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) launched TRAZE Contact Tracing App.

TRAZE is a nationwide and unified contact tracing software that facilitates manual contact tracing by scanning QR codes, allowing tracing to be completed in a matter of minutes rather than days.

TRAZE automates the contact tracing of the DoTr’s attached agencies, eliminating the need to fill out manual contact tracing forms.

Those who may have come into contact with a COVID-19 positive patient may receive an in-app notification so that they can take precautions and begin self-isolation if symptoms appear to safeguard their families and loved ones.

NOTE: The government will NOT be tracking your location. TRAZE is solely used for contact tracing purposes only. Data is deleted every 30 days.

TRAZE A is now being used in four of the International Airports in the country: Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Clark International Airport (CRK), Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIAA), and Davao International Airport (DIA).

Benefits and Features of TRAZE App

  • Uses Recursive QR Code

To protect your privacy, your personal QR Code will change every few minutes. To add an extra layer of protection, the QR Codes are also encrypted.

  • Data Privacy Act Complaint

TRAZE values your privacy and does not store any of your information in the cloud forever. Every 30 days, your TRAZE History is also deleted.

  • Doesn’t use GPS or Bluetooth

We never track your whereabouts, and we don’t depend on Bluetooth to collect information from you.

  • Works Offline

TRAZE does not need high-speed data or Wi-Fi. It works even when you’re not connected to the internet, but you’ll need to go online to refresh your TRAZE History.

How to TRAZE at the airport?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding TRAZE App PH

Question: Is TRAZE required even for children/infants/seniors?

Answer: YES, TRAZE is required for all coming in and out of the airport. Children and infants may be registered under their parents’ TRAZE account under “family members”. The same may be done for seniors, or they can proceed to the Malasakit/TRAZE helpdesk for a printed QR Code.

Q: How can I register for my family members/neighbors with no mobile phone?

A: Go to your profile and scroll down until you see the “+” button (to register for other individuals). Once you are on the next screen, click the “add button” on the upper right and input the necessary information. Once completed, click on the “printer icon”, take a photo and the TRAZE QR Code will be generated. You may now take a screenshot of this and print it for their use.

Q: Does it require an internet connection?

A: Once you’ve downloaded TRAZE on your mobile device and registered, you may use it offline to scan the QR Codes. However, you have been connected to the internet to update your TRAZE history.

Q: What if I don’t have a mobile device to download the app?

A: According to the DoTr, you may approach the Malasakit Helpdesk at the airport to get a unique QR Code if you don’t have a mobile device. You may also ask a family member to register you on the app.

Q: Will I be charged for using TRAZE?

A: NO. TRAZE is absolutely, 100% free to use

Q: Where else can I use TRAZE?

A: You may use TRAZE at all airports, all seaports, selected Local Government City/Municipal Halls, selected establishments/buildings, and selected businesses/stores
