In recent years, China sent many of its young citizens overseas to work as Au Pairs specifically for families who adopted Chinese babies, to help the host family learn Chinese. China’s economic growth and progressing middle class families saw the demand to hire foreign Au Pairs to ease family conditions and encourage cultural exchanges.

Au Pair candidates in China should be 18 to 27 years old, female, single, no children, speaks English. The agreement gives opportunity for Chinese mothers to return to work while a trusted au pair takes care of the child / children. Hiring an Au Pair who has good command of the English language helps the host family learn English too.

To be hired as an Au Pair in China seeks that the candidate must have a sense of adventure, willing to learn a different culture, loves to work with children and enjoys spending time with them.

Au Pair host families are busy professionals, while others manage their own businesses simultaneously looking to provide loving childcare for their children.  They are open minded to share their home, family setting and they believe cultural exchanges with a young person from another country is mutually beneficial too.

Au Pair hiring in China may last for a few months, until a year or depending on the needs of the host family and children. Many host families are cooperative in the visa processing for their Au Pair. Many host families consider all nationalities as Au Pair applicants.

Peace and love to you.
