Holy Week 2015

Holy Week 2015, a time for us to pause and reflect about our lives.
Holy Week 2015, a time for us to pause and reflect about our lives.

Holy Tuesday. Although we are working and staying in a predominantly Islam country, expatriates and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) like us are still fortunate to have been given the freedom to practice our religion.

Although some of us cannot attend church services as often as we want too most especially during this time of Lent because of work commitment and non-day off schedule, we try to make up for lost time. I have had my trying and tiring times as an OFW here in Kuwait and I felt like I wanted to give up already. But as I look at the religious articles I have kept since I first came here, I realize that Jesus Christ is the King of all Kings and yet, He was crucified and left to die.

May we be able to reflect on His greatest sacrifice for mankind that this may give us new hope and renewed faith in His mercy and love. May we all know in our hearts that when we suffer because of trials and life’s difficulties, we share in the burden of His cross.

A Blessed Lent to all of you.

Peace and love to you.
