Around 3:15 this morning, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Olongapo City, Philippines. Nearby provinces like Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Tarlac and Pangasinan also felt the tremor.
An earthquake is a seismic shift between tectonic plates below the earth’s surface that causes plates to slide past each other at a point known as a fault. The location of an earthquake below ground is referred to as the hypocenter, which corresponds to the location of the quake on the ground, known as the epicenter. Earthquakes typically last only a few seconds, but aftershocks — smaller earthquakes — can occur for days, weeks and years after a main quake.

I felt it too. I’m from Makati. The glass windows of my bookshelf are banging.
Close to the strong quake happened back 1990 – Luzon Earthquake.
It is so weird that I didn’t feel anything as I was sleeping when this happened.
