Reaching Out

Who else will help give comfort to our fellow kabayans, except kapwa kabayans.
Who else will help give comfort to our fellow kabayans, except kapwa kabayans.

As an OFW Blogger, a huge part of my advocacy concerns the welfare of our fellow kabayans, reaching them through my writings. I also try my best to initiate programs and drives, with the help of other Filipino Community leaders and members here in Kuwait or well – meaning kabayans who have the heart to serve others.

"Maraming Salamat po"
“Maraming Salamat po”

This month, we were able to give some gifts to OFW Filipinas staying at the Philippine Embassy. Although the gifts were not expensive, the smiles on the faces of fellow kabayans who received these were genuine and full of heartfelt gratitude. During these times, I realize that despite the different trials that came my way before, the struggles that I face each passing day, I continue to give thanks to the Lord for providing me the strength to go on.

diary-ni-gracia-reaching-out-3“To all the kindhearted persons who tirelessly support my call for help to be of service to others, Maraming, Maraming Salamat po! The Lord sees every good deed you do to others. I know you help without asking for anything in return and for that. may our Lord bless you more!”

Peace and love to you.

In the countries where I’ve lived and worked, all over the Middle East and Asia, it is Filipinos who do all the work and make everything happen. When I am working in a new company abroad, I seek out the Filipino staff when I need help getting something done, and done right. Your international reputation as employees is that you work hard, don’t complain, and are very capable. If all the Filipinos were to go home from the Middle East, the world would stop. Oil is the lifeblood of the world, but without Filipinos, the oil will not come from the ground, it will not be loaded onto the ships, and the ships will not sail. The offices that make the deals and collect the payments will not even open in the morning. The schools will not have teachers, and, of course, the hospitals will have no staff.

    This certainly is heartwarming!
    knowing the plight of OFW’s..
Guess I am lucky to be one of those youngsters who found a job that pays well and doesnt have to explore other horizons abroad.
I have always been curious of what OFW’s have to go through since my father is one. 🙂

Thank God, the spirit of Bayanihan lives on. Saludo ako sa iyo and to those who lend hand in doing such noble cause to our OFW at Kuwait.

This is really touching. I’m sure they’re been really grateful with the gifts. I hope you can do more of that. Such a generous heart. 🙂

That is a good way of saying we care to the kabayan stranded in the Philippine embassy. They need all the help we can kahit maliit pa yan.
