Al Jahra, why I came?

During my first years in Kuwait, like most Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), I took a considerable amount of my trusted medicines prescribed to me from our province. I am also thankful to the Almighty that I do not always get sick here in Kuwait.

However, stress and fatigue took its toll on my health and I fell ill a few days ago. A friend of mine offered to take me to Al Jahra Hospital, known for its medical facilities and attentive doctors and staff.  On the way to Al Jahra, I felt less suffocated by the vast lands and long highways. I wanted to relieve myself of the pain I felt so I took pictures.

At the hospital, after my laboratory results came out, I felt like a thorn was off my chest to know that it was nothing serious. Enough rest, healthy food, and some medication will do the trick, as they say.

“Sometimes when we don’t feel well, going out to take a breather will be helpful to ease our pain; it may be just a peak from your porch, sitting a few minutes in your garden or backyard, or even if it is just a short walk around the neighborhood is good therapy. Of course, finding the time to pause and reflect on our lives is very important too.”
