December 15th, SSS Head Office, Quezon City – The 2012 PEBA (Pinoy Expat/OFW Blog Awards) was a Pre-Misa de Gallo fascinating event for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families. The special day held shortly after lunch, was called Sama-Samang Saya at Parangal sa mga OFW at Kanilang Pamilya Pamaskong Handog ng SSS at PEBA”

Like any other gathering, a song of praise to the Almighty was invoked at the start by Mr. Rafael Dar, followed by the singing of our national anthem by Ms. Yeda Sosmena  and finally, the SSS Hymn .

A video message by Mr. Kenji Solis was strengthened by the Welcome Address of Hon. Daniel L. Edralin, of the Social Security Commission. After the video presentation of SSS Services and Programs for OFWs, the awarding ceremonies started.

“I was invited to present some awards and I am truly honored to meet bloggers of all ages who found the calling to hone their craft. I truly wish that through their writings, many people will benefit from their medium of expression. Congratulations to all the winners”.

This year’s theme is, “The Social Media and I: Bridging the Past, Present and Future”.  SSS Philippines found partners in Smart IDD and The Manny and Cynthia Villar Foundation.
