I have been invited to be the Emcee for a Thanksgiving event of Ms. Almira Matus in cooperation with Ilokana Women’s Organization in Kuwait (IWOK) and Filipino Association for Music and Arts (FAMA).
It was a special celebration because the venue was Hateen Shelter of the Philippine Embassy and the guests were the distressed OFWs. I could say that Ms. Almira inspires us to appreciate the people in our life who make a difference to us. GOD is delighted when we are able to touch the lives of people who feel hopeless, lonely, disadvantaged and disrespected. The appreciation we receive from them is genuine and our simple acts of sharing create a great impact on their lives.
God loves to hear our stories of how we have been moved by appreciation given to us or by appreciation we address to another person. One of my life purpose is to see a world where all OFWs feel they belong, that they are valued and their voices are heard. We can make a difference by recognizing, acknowledging and appreciating all the people in our lives who give a positive impact on our lives.
Spread the power of appreciation! To God be all the Glory.
